EK ASHA, JAN RASOI

Malnutrition has been a major concern in India. Over the last decade, India has been working slowly to address it. Gautam Gambhir Foundation launched Delhi’s first ever “EK ASHA- Jan Rasoi” on 24th December 2020 with the vision to eradicate hunger and malnutrition from the society. This is a fully developed community kitchen which provides food to those in need for just Rs. 1. On 24th December 2020 in country’s biggest wholesale market Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi. After the success of the first community kitchen, taking the implementation of the project ahead the second EK ASHA JAN RASOI was opened on the 9th February 2021 in the hustling market of New Ashok Nagar, Laxmi Nagar and Vinod Nagar thereafter.

Daily approx. 4000 Thalis are served in rupee 1 from 4 Jan Rasoi for feeding. The meal contains sufficient quantity of Rice, lentils, vegetable and salads.
